22/10/2017 Argaam

Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) signed a contract with Bangladesh’s ministry of agriculture and state-owned Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) to export diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizers in 2018, Maaden said in a statement.

The statement did not disclose the value of the deal.

The mining company is keen to strengthen its cooperation with Bangladesh and build long-term business relations with it, said Khalid Al-Rewis, deputy head of the phosphate division at Maaden.

Maaden exports phosphate fertilizers to more than 20 world markets. Its export strategy complies with Vision 2030 that aims to diversify the economy and increase exports, he added.
