Saudi Arabia on Sunday pledged a $200 million donation for the maintenance of Islamic heritage sites in Jerusalem as well as the United Nations (UN) Palestine refugee programme.
The Kingdom allocated $150 million to the maintenance of Islamic heritage sites, primarily Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque, and another $50 million for programs run by the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestinians (UNRWA).
In March, Saudi Arabia and the UAE pledged $1 billion package in support of the UN humanitarian response plan for Yemen.
