Dubai-based developer Nakheel awarded a contract worth $162.13 million (AED 595 million) for the construction of Nad Al Sheba Mall, off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, to Metac General Contracting Company, it said in a statement on Sunday.
The AED 825-million mall will have 200 shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets spread across 500,000 square feet of leasable space. It is due for completion in 2021.
Nad Al Sheba Mall is part of Nakheel Mall’s AED 22 billion expansion that will take its total retail space to over 17 million square feet.
