UAE's ADNOC LNG is expected to award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for its second integrated gas development (IGD) expansion project before year-end, Meed reported, citing industry sources.
The technical bids for the project were submitted on April 8, while a formal deadline for the submission of commercial bids has not been announced, it added.
The following companies have submitted technical bids:
1) National Petroleum Construction Company (local)/ Petrofac (UK)
CB&I (US)/ Larsen & Toubro (India)
2) Worley Parsons (Australia)/ Archirodon (Greece)/ Hyundai E&C (South Korea)
3) Tecnicas Reunidas (Spain)/ Target Engineering (local)
4) Fluor Corporation (US)
5) Maire Tecnimont (France)
The over $1-billion IGD expansion 2 project will expand the volume of gas from Abu Dhabi’s offshore field processed at Gasco’s onshore operations at Habshan by adding 200-400 million cubic feet a day of capacity.
The project includes adding two booster compression trains, three dehydration trains and two amine-based fuel gas treatment units.
Commercial bids for the EPC contract were submitted in December 2015, but the project was subsequently put on hold, MEED said.
