Al-Futtaim Logistics has opened the second warehousing facility in Riyadh, as part of its regional expansion plans, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The local distribution centre now spreads on a total of area 15,000 sqms. Al-Futtaim Logistics had earlier set up its primary warehouse in Jeddah.
Both facilities currently handle retail brands with categories including fashion, footwear, hardware, DIY furniture and home appliances.
Al-Futtaim Logistics aims to enhance customer experiences with multimodal transport solutions and integrated logistics solutions.
“Our expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reinforces our confidence in investing in the economy which is in line with the UAE government’s vision of enhanced bilateral trade between the two nations,” said Raman Kumar, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Logistics.
Al-Futtaim Logistics was established in 1980 as part of Al-Futtaim Group. The company manages over 1.2 million square meters of warehousing and yard space with its own fleet and operational centres located in major air and sea hubs in the United Arab Emirates.
