US drillers added three oil rigs in the week ending July 27, bringing the total count to 861, Baker Hughes energy services firm said in a report on Friday.
Meanwhile, the number of gas rigs dropped by 1 to 186 gas rigs for the week. In the same period last year the number of US gas rigs were 192.
