Saudi Ground Services (SGS) has signed a contract with Germany’s Inform to utilize modern technology in organizing and developing the automation of operations of the SGS across the Kingdom’s airports, Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday.
The new programs will start at Jeddah airport by the end of October 2018, in Riyadh airport in the second quarter of 2019, followed by Madinah and Dammam airport and others.
The new automation technology will raise productivity and overall customer satisfaction, as well as reduce the operation and maintenance costs, Saudi Ground Services’ CEO, Omar bin Mohamed Najjar, commented.
SGS is hoping to have the programs fully implemented by 2020, he added.
