Makkah mobile users have made 23 million voice calls on Dhul Hijjah 9, 1439, and reported network data usage of 1280 terabytes, statistics issued by the Saudi telecom regulator, Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) showed.
The mobile data usage per mobile subscription in Makkah hit 299 megabytes, which exceeded the world's daily data usage reaching 150 megabytes.
Youtube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp are known for the most data usage.
