Saudi Arabia has set a new world record for the world's largest rubber water park at the beach event in east Khobar, state news agency SPA reported on Thursday.

The Sunset Beach Water Park, which was set up with the support of the General Authority for Entertainment, covers an area of 20,536 square meters, far outstripping 3,400 square meter water park in Subic, the Philippines.

The water park is part of a beach event running from October 11 to November 3.

Earlier this month, the Kingdom received two certificates from the Guinness World Records, one for the largest flag in the world formed by 300 drones and the largest amount of fireworks fired simultaneously from several cities as part of the celebrations of the National Day 88.
