Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) will undertake a key role in the manufacture of electric vehicles (EVs), said Yousef Al-Benyan, vice chairman and CEO, at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) 2018 held in Riyadh.
“SABIC is well-positioned to provide lightweight-enabling material, large molded parts and semi-structural components suitable for airplane, train and auto industry,” Al-Benyan said.
The announcement comes in line with the petrochemical giant’s strategy to eliminate risks and introduce investment opportunities locally and globally.
