Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors hit SAR 1.49 trln in September

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors rose two percent by September-end to SAR 1.49 trillion compared to SAR 1.46 trillion a year earlier, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

Private sector lending also edged up two percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.442 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, the value of loans given to the public sector increased four percent YoY to SAR 48.5 billion in September.
