King Salman has laid the foundations for the new Al Jouf and Al-Qurayyat airports, state news agency SPA said.
The Al Jouf Airport will accommodate one million passengers annually, while Al-Qurayyat Airport will accommodate 500,000 passengers annually, said Abdulhakim Al Tamimi, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The new airports will likely eliminate the increasing demand for the air traffic services in the Kingdom.
