Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co. has appointed Talal Abdulaziz Fida as an acting chief executive officer (CEO) as of Dec. 2, 2018, the insurer said in a bourse filing.
The appointment decision followed the receipt of a no-objection letter from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) on Dec. 4, 2018.
Fida has worked as the insurer’s chief operating officer since April 2018, and also worked as a general manager in Saudi NEXtCARE.
He has an extensive experience in the insurance field; he held an MBA from Ellis College at NYIT.
Shafiq Al Rumaih, the company’s acting chief executive, stepped down, and will continue as the company’s financial manager. In March, the insurer named Al Rumaih as acting CEO for the company.
