Saudi Aramco to ‘soon’ unveil fuel stations in the Kingdom

State oil giant Saudi Aramco will unveil branded fuel stations in the local market soon, the company said on in a statement on Sunday.

The fuel stations will have modern self-serve pumps, with credit/debit card payment options, as well as convenience stores and restaurants.

“The Aramco branded gas stations is likely to arrive at an accelerated pace, and it will have a profound effect of raising expectations for the customers’ way of buying fuel for both residents and visitors alike,” Ahmed Al-Subaey, Aramco’s vice president of Marketing, Sales, and Supply Planning, and chairman of RetailCo, said.

The statement also mentioned that with the creation of RetailCo, a wholly owned subsidiary established to cater to fuel retailing, Saudi Aramco will create a sustainable and profitable business model for integrating across the hydrocarbon value chain.

Saudi Aramco announced, in December, the creation of the Saudi Aramco Retail Company (RetailCo) in order to cater to the Kingdom's fuel retail business.
