The Red Sea Development Co. (TRSDC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), awarded Saudi-based Nesma Holding and UAE’s Professional Landscape Co. a joint contract to build a 100 million square meter nursery in the Red Sea Project.
The nursery will propagate groundcovers, plants, shrubs, trees and palms and provide 15 million plants for landscaping, TRSDC said in a statement on Monday.
No further details were provided about the deal value.
In January, the company’s board of directors has approved the masterplan of the Red Sea Project, Argaam reported.
The first phase of the project is set to be completed in 2022.
