Dubai denies claims that Saudi milk brands use hormones in production

21/05/2019 Argaam

Dubai Municipality has denied rumors on social media that claim Saudi dairy brands, namely Almarai, Nadec and Al Safi, are using hormones on the cattle to increase milk production.

“Dubai Municipality denies rumors about injecting the cattle producing Almarai, Nadec, and Al Safi milk to increase the proportion of milk,” Dubai Municipality posted on its official Instagram account.

Dubai Municipality said the claims are not based on any scientific references or official statements from accredited governmental entities. The milk products come from Saudi Arabia, which applies technical regulations & GSO standards, the statement said.

Both Almarai and Nadec are listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) and are among the top dairy, juice, and cheese producers in Saudi Arabia and wider Arab Gulf region.
