Revenues rose during the year, supported by increased dividend income, growth in hotel and other operating revenues, and higher gains from investments at fair value through profit or loss.

KHC noted higher gains from the sale of an equity-accounted investee, along with a rise in reversals of impairment on investments in equity-accounted companies, in addition to lower finance costs.

Improved hotel and other operating revenues, coupled with a decline in Zakat, withholding tax, and income tax expenses, also supported profitability.

The profit growth came despite a decline in the share of results from equity-accounted investees and lower gains from the sale of investment properties.

Performance was also affected by lower financing income, alongside higher hotel and other operating costs.

Moreover, general, administrative, and marketing expenses increased, while other net gains declined and impairment losses on financial assets rose.
