US rig count hits highest since June: Baker Hughes

The US drilling rig count increased five units to 489 in the week ended April 4, Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

This is the highest level since June 7, when it reached 492.

 

Meanwhile, the gas rig count fell seven units to 96 in the week.
