US rig count falls for 4th straight week: Baker Hughes

The US drilling rig count declined – for the fourth straight week – by eight units to 465 in the week ended May 23, according to a recent report by Baker Hughes energy services firm.

 

The gas rig count also fell two units to 98 in the week.

 

Accordingly, the total number of oil and gas rigs reached 563 by the end of the week, the lowest since November 2021.
