Almarai Co. attributed the increase of juices price to the adoption of a less sugar-dependent formula which is more expensive, according to Makkah Newspaper.

 

The new formula enhanced the products quality and helped reduce sugar to normal levels.

 

Saudi Arabia started to impose a 50% tax on sweetened drinks as of Dec. 1, 2019, according to data compiled by Argaam.
