Saudi Arabia studying possibility of resuming international flights, says health ministry

A number of activities, including international flights, are currently being studied by experts and concerned authorities to determine the appropriate time to resume them, the Ministry of Health’s spokesman, Dr Muhammad Al-Abdulali, said.

 

Speaking during a press conference on COVID-19 updates, he confirmed that studies are being conducted to adopt the right protocols of resuming these activities, while maintaining health security of citizens and residents in the Kingdom.

 

The return of some activities after being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic came after adequate scientific studies in order to take appropriate measures at the best time, he noted.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, the Kingdom suspended international flights on March 15, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
