Saudi Health Ministry says no proposals submitted to reimpose coronavirus curfew

25/10/2020 Argaam

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has not requested imposing a curfew over the coming days, as the current level of COVID-19 cases does not necessitate taking such strict precautionary measures, ministry spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, said.

"We are continuously monitoring the situation and we do not expect to take such measure in the near future so long as we have positive indicators," he added, during a press conference held to give an update on the daily tally of the pandemic in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the ministry announced today 323 new infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases up to 344,875. The Kingdom reported 335 new recovered cases, raising the total number to 331,330, or 96% of total recorded cases.
