Nazaha says KAU President embezzled over SAR 500 mln

Ahmed Al-Hussein, Spokesperson for the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), said former President of King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Abdulrahman Al-Youbi, embezzled more than SAR 500 million.

 

Other university employees and officials were involved, Al-Hussein told Al-Ekhbariya TV, adding that investigations are ongoing.

 

Nazaha took the necessary actions to prevent disposal of such funds ahead of recovering them to the state.

 

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued toda a Royal Decree on relieving Al-Youbi of his position, Argaam reported.
