The Al-Ahsa Municipality announced the launch of the trial operations of the public bus transport project.
The municipality said on its X account that the project involves a fleet of 41 buses, with routes being gradually activated.
In October, Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) signed a five-year contract with Al-Ahsa Municipality to operate the public bus network in Al-Ahsa (Al-Mubarraz, Al-Hofuf, Al-Jafr, and Al-Omran) for approximately SAR 93 million, including VAT, according to data available with Argaam.
