Saudi Arabia signed four agreements worth SAR 1 billion in several sectors, including the hospitality and hotels, on the sidelines of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) summit that was held in Riyadh from Nov. 28-30, state-owned SPA reported.

The agreements came as part of Sharqia Development Authority's coordinating role in economic development and investment stimulation, to encourage the private sector to become a key partner in the development projects.

In the aviation sector, an agreement was signed to appoint Arjaa Travel and Tourism Co. as an exclusive agent for Wizz Air in Saudi Arabia. Wizz Air will add three travel destinations, including Vienna, Rome, and Abu Dhabi in the first stage, with a total of 2,000 seats to enhance the seat capacity of King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

As for the hospitality sector, an agreement worth SAR 500 million was singed between Al-Mousa Holding and Hilton Group, to operate a hotel in Al-Hamra district, Al-Khobar. The hotel overlooks King Fahd Causeway, and consists of 22 floors and 344 units.
