King Salman Energy City (SPARK) signed a concession agreement with Hutchison Ports Co. to manage and operate the dry port and logistics zone in SPARK, the largest global center for power plants spanning 50 square kilometers in the Eastern Province.

The agreement grants the concession right to Energy City Logistics Co., the exclusive operator of the $400 million modern logistics facility, to provide logistical services and solutions to meet the needs of investors in the city. The company will handle containers, manage shipments, provide storage yards and warehouses, as well make customs procedures.

The dry port will also boost the Eastern Province's position as a regional logistics hub, through its linking to the future GCC railway network and multiple highways connected to SPARK.
