Oil tanks
US oil inventories fell more than expected during the week ended Sept. 1, while distillate inventories saw a slight increase.
Oil inventories dropped by 6.3 million barrels to reach 416.6 million during the past week, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.
S&P Global expected a decrease in oil inventories by an average of 5.6 million barrels during the same period.
Gasoline inventories declined by 2.7 million barrels to 214.7 million during the week, while distillates slightly increased by 700,000 barrels to 118.6 million.
