GACA issues Oct. airport performance report

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued its monthly report on the performance of domestic and international airports in Saudi Arabia for October.

 

The airports are assessed according to 11 basic performance measurement criteria.

 

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Fahd International Airport, Abha International Airport, Hail International Airport and Gurayat Airport took the leading positions in the report.

 

Among international airports with more than 15 million passengers annually, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah took the first place with a compliance rate of 91%, followed by King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with 64%.

 

In the category of international airports with five to 15 million passengers annually, King Fahd International Airport led with a compliance rate of 91%. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport came second with a compliance rate of 91%. King Fahd International Airport outperformed Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in the percentages of criteria achievement.

 

Among international airports with two to five million passengers annually, Abha International Airport took the first place with a 100% compliance rate. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jizan followed with a 100% compliance rate. Abha International Airport outperformed King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in total average waiting times for arrival and departure flights.

 

In the category of international airports with less than two million passengers, Hail International Airport achieved a 100% compliance rate, outperforming peers in terms of total average waiting time for departure and arrival flights.

 

For domestic airports, Gurayat Airport topped with a 100% compliance rate, surpassing peers in terms of total average waiting time for departure and arrival flights.
