Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories reported a larger-than-expected increase for the week ended Nov. 17, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.
Gasoline inventories rose, but distillate stocks fell during the same period.
Crude oil stocks added 8.7 million barrels by the end of the week, versus expectations of an increase of 900,000 barrels.
Last week, the US gasoline stocks rose 700,000 barrels, while distillate stocks were down by about 1 million barrels.
