Saudi Arabia exports almost 60% of its locally made aluminum as high-quality end products, with some already being utilized in the UK auto manufacturing industry, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef said.
During his participation in the Critical Minerals Ministerial Roundtable held in London, Alkhorayef emphasized that Saudi Arabia is actively working to increase future investments in the mining sector and secure investments in competent projects. That is why the Kingdom is currently promoting green mining.
The significant developments in phosphate projects within the Kingdom, according to the minister, helped overcome food security challenges.
He also pointed to the investments made in geological survey projects in order to cover approximately one-third of the Kingdom's territory.
The mining investment system in Saudi Arabia is globally recognized as one of the best worldwide, guaranteeing transparency for investors by dealing with a sole regulatory body, Alkhorayef affirmed.
