US oil inventories fall 4.3M barrels last week

US crude oil inventories reported a larger-than-expected decrease for the week ended Dec. 8, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed. Meanwhile, gasoline inventories and distillate stocks rose during the same period.

 

Crude oil stocks declined by 4.3 million barrels by the end of the week, versus expectations of a decrease of 2.7 million barrels.

 

Last week, the US gasoline stocks rose 400,000 barrels, while distillate stocks were up by about 1.5 million barrels.
