The Ministry of Commerce announced the recall of 33,350 Toyota and Lexus vehicles, over a defect in the transmission that could cause the vehicle to move while in neutral (N) position, increasing the risk of accidents.

According to a ministry statement today, April 22, the recall includes 28,630 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles model 2020-2024, and 4,723 Lexus LX600 & LX500 vehicles model 2020-2024.

The ministry urged owners of these vehicles to contact the local dealer, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, to perform the necessary upgrades to the recalled vehicles free of charge.

Vehicle owners were also advised to check if their vehicle's chassis number is included in the recall campaign through the Defective Products Recall Center website (Recalls.sa) and to contact the dealer to carry out the necessary enhancements free of charge.
