Oil tanks
Crude oil inventories in the US fell more than expected in the week ended Aug. 30, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Crude oil inventories declined 6.9 million barrels last week, compared to expectations for a drop of about 600,000 barrels.
Gasoline stocks increased by 800,000 barrels, while distillate fuel inventories were down by nearly 400,000 barrels.
