The Israeli military has announced today, June 22, a heightened state of alert, suspending school activities, public gatherings, and non-essential work nationwide as a precaution, following US airstrikes on Iran.
In a statement, the Israeli army announced that all regions have been shifted from partial and limited operations to essential activity only, including the suspension of educational institutions, public gatherings, and workplaces—excluding critical sectors.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated US President Donald Trump, after the latter announced the US military bombed three nuclear sites in Iran.
"Congratulations President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran's nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history," Netanyahu said in a video message.
Trump earlier announced the strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which included 30 Tomahawk missiles fired by US forces and six bunker-busting bombs dropped by B-2 bombers, according to sources.
