Trump not planning further attacks on Iran: Report

22/06/2025 Argaam

US President Donald Trump hopes the strikes he ordered on three Iranian nuclear sites will bring Tehran back to the negotiating table, CNN reported, citing informed sources.

The sources explained that Trump is not currently planning any additional US strikes inside Iran, and that the goal of the recent escalation is to pressure Tehran's leaders to agree to end the war.

Trump announced early today, June 22, that the US Air Force had launched strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran. B-2 bombers were used in the military operation, Reuters reported.

CNN reported that Trump had become convinced in recent days that US forces were needed to destroy Iran's heavily fortified nuclear facilities, and made the decision to strike when it became clear that diplomacy was at a dead end.
