US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the Congress will pass the new spending draft bill, stressing that efforts are underway to reach accord within the Senate about its terms.

 

In a post on “Truth Social” platform today, July 1, Trump described the bill as “big, beautiful”, noting that it will help lower deficit and national debt, while unleashing economic growth.

 

These statements align with what US Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent said during an interview with Fox News as he anticipated the draft law to be passed by Senate later today
