The Council of Health Insurance (CHI) launched its 2025-2027 strategy, which is part of its ongoing efforts to become a leading regulatory body in enabling healthcare services centered on beneficiaries, based on quality and efficiency.

The new strategy is built on five main pillars focused on a beneficiary-centered system, empowering employers, and driven by data and smart technologies. It also emphasizes the principles of quality and efficiency-based healthcare, enhancing compliance, and reaffirming the council’s position as an innovative, sustainable, and digitally advanced body, the CHI said in a statement.

Eman Alturaiki, the council’s official spokesperson, stated that CHI has developed 47 initiatives within nine programs designed to achieve its strategic goals.

These goals focus on increasing preventive services within the basic benefits packages for health insurance beneficiaries, in addition to bolstering the effectiveness of healthcare providers in adopting quality and efficiency-based healthcare, and raising compliance levels by enabling employers to provide health coverage for their employees and dependents through innovative and efficient solutions, she added.

Alturaiki also indicated that the strategy aims to adopt AI-powered solutions, support innovation, improve data quality and governance, and boost operational efficiency, aligning with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Vision 2030 to improve quality of life and advance the healthcare system.
