The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) released its monthly report on the punctuality of Saudi airports and national carriers for June 2025.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (KKIA), King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (KFIA), Abha International Airport (AHB), Arar International Airport (RAE), and Gurayat Domestic Airport (URY) ranked among the top-performing airports in the report.

Saudi airports were divided into five categories in the performance report as follows:

Category 1: International airports with over 15 million passengers annually

KKIA ranked first with a compliance rate of 82%, followed by King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah (KAIA) with 73%.

Category 2: International airports with five to 15 million passengers annually

KFIA secured first place with a 91% compliance rate, slightly ahead of Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah (PMIA), which also recorded 91%, but with lower overall scores in meeting performance criteria.

Category 3: International airports with two to five million passengers annually

AHB took the top spot with a 100% compliance rate, outperforming its peers in terms of average wait times for arriving and departing flights.

Category 4: International airports with fewer than two million passengers annually

RAE ranked first with a 100% compliance rate, excelling in average wait times for both departures and arrivals.

Category 5: Domestic airports

URY claimed the top position with a 100% compliance rate, outperforming all other domestic airports in average wait times for departing and arriving flights.

GACA evaluates airport performance based on 11 core performance indicators, including passenger wait times during check-in, baggage claim, passport control, and customs, as well as accessibility standards for people with disabilities—benchmarking against international best practices.
