Oil tankers
US crude oil inventories witnessed a higher-than-anticipated slump of about 3.2 million barrels in the July 18-ended week, surpassing analyst expectations for an 800,000-barrel decline.
Likewise, gasoline inventories fell by 1.7 million barrels for the same week, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Meanwhile, distillate stocks — including diesel and heating oil — added 2.9 million barrels.
