ADX-listed NMDC Energy, which specializes in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions in the energy sector, kicked off operations at its manufacturing center in the Ras Al-Khair Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Saudi Arabia.
The 400,000-square-meter (sqm) center is designed to meet the needs of both onshore and offshore projects.
It boasts an annual production capacity of up to 40,000 tons and offers comprehensive manufacturing services, including preparation, maintenance, and installation.
These capabilities support the production of essential components and units of complex infrastructure in the energy sector.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the Saudi-based manufacturing center has already begun operations. It is currently producing nine offshore platforms for Saudi Aramco.
Over 1,800 skilled and experienced personnel will be relocated from Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia to support the organized execution of projects.
This move aims to ensure adherence to the highest quality control standards and guarantee the delivery of world-class infrastructure projects.
Last January, NMDC Energy announced the launch of the manufacturing center in Saudi Arabia, with an investment of AED 200 million, marking a significant step in its strategic efforts to enhance its regional and global presence.
The Ras Al-Khair manufacturing center is key in NMDC Energy’s strategy in the Kingdom and in its broader efforts to bolster industrial localization and strengthen the local supply chain.
Over the past five years, the company redirected more than SAR 5 billion into the national economy and is on track to raise the total local value-added contribution of the supply sector (IKTVA) to 39% in 2025 and 51% by 2028.
