The Ministry of Sports announced today, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization (NCP) and the Riyadh Municipality, the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) phases for the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City project in Riyadh.
The deadline for submitting the qualification documents is Oct. 13.
According to the ministry’s statement, the project will be implemented through a public-private partnership (PPP) model and will include the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance for a period ranging from 20 to 30 years.
The project aims to build a state-of-the-art sports stadium in the northern part of King Abdullah Park in Al-Malaz (adjacent to the existing facility) with a seating capacity of nearly 47,000 spectators.
Upon completion, the stadium will host major local and international events, most notably the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
