Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Saleh Al-Jasser inaugurated FedEx’s new headquarters in Saudi Arabia, which will oversee the company’s operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

In his speech, the minister said the launch of the headquarters and the introduction of direct flights from Riyadh demonstrate the Kingdom’s strong logistics capabilities and reinforce its position as a global logistics hub and gateway for trade and services, the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

GACA said that the move includes the launch of FedEx’s first direct air link to Riyadh from the US and Europe, with the first flight scheduled to land on Sept. 2 at King Khalid International Airport.

The service will operate six times a week, driving the growth of the company’s integrated logistics services in the Kingdom and the wider region.
