Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. expects the Tabuk project's financial impact to show in Q4 2025
Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. (AWPT) said it has been selected by the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) as the preferred bidder to develop a project involving mini wastewater treatment plants and collection networks in Jazan Province.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said this is the first project of its kind to combine the development and implementation of wastewater treatment plants and collection networks through a public-private partnership.
The project aims to reduce the environmental impact of untreated wastewater discharge, improve quality of life, and maximize the reuse of treated wastewater.
It includes the construction of 12 treatment plants at various locations across Jazan, with a total capacity of 74,700 cubic meters per day, and the installation of 166 kilometers of collection networks.
Construction is expected to be completed and commercial operations to begin in the fourth quarter of 2028 under a 25-year contract.
The company said it will work with relevant stakeholders to achieve financial close for the project.
AWPT added that it will announce any further developments in due course and will disclose the financial impact start date once the contract is signed, noting that there are no related parties involved.
