The Saudi Cabinet reviewed the preliminary metrics of the 2026 estimated state budget, forging further support for comprehensive economic growth and development as well as social spending.

This is while simultaneously strengthening the Kingdom’s financial position and ensuring the sustainability of public finances, state-run news agency SPA reported.

This also reflects commitment to structural reforms aimed at enhancing economic efficiency, diversification, and competitiveness, thereby achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

This came during a Cabinet session chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which several other agenda items were addressed, and some decisions were issued, including the following:

- Approving the regulation of the National Institute of Health Research.

- Approving the establishment of a University of New Haven branch in Riyadh.

- Appointing Maher bin Abdulrahman Al Qassim, Mohamed bin Omar Alabdullatif, and Abdulaziz bin Ali Alawdan as expert members in the board of the Institute of Public Administration.
