The National Housing Co. (NHC) signed agreements and memoranda of understanding with several major Chinese companies, as part of a plan to develop 100,000 Saudi-Chinese housing units by 2030.
The deals were signed during Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid Al-Hogail’s two-day official visit to China, the state-run SPA reported.
The agreements included two framework contracts to implement more than 24,000 housing units, in addition to strategic agreements aimed at supporting supply chains and localizing construction industries through digital initiatives offered by the company’s SupplyPro platform.
An additional framework agreement was also signed with the China Construction Seventh Engineering Division to build 20,000 housing units worth SAR 8.70 billion — marking the fifth project between the two parties.
Another contract was awarded to CICC, which is being encouraged to participate in the 20,000-unit program.
