Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group’s (Sulaiman Al Habib) board approved plans to build two new hospitals in Dammam and Riyadh, with a combined estimated investment of around SAR 2 billion.

The Dammam project will be developed by Sehat Al Sahel Co., a wholly owned subsidiary, on a 17,203-square-meter plot owned by the group in Al Manar district along King Fahd Road. The hospital will have a capacity of 145 beds, with total estimated costs of SAR 988 million.

Meanwhile, the Riyadh project will be implemented by another wholly owned subsidiary, Bawabat Al Gharb for Health Care Co., on a 15,050-sqm plot in Al Munsiyah district, near Dammam Northern Ring Road. The estimated investment for this project is SAR 991 million, and it will include 160 beds.

Sulaiman Al Habib said the two hospitals will be fully integrated healthcare facilities offering a wide range of specialized clinics and modern medical services. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 after securing the necessary regulatory approvals.

The group added that the projects will be financed through internal resources and long-term Shariah-compliant loans from local financial institutions.

Construction is scheduled for completion in Q4 2028, with operational testing to begin in Q1 2029, paving the way for commercial operations to commence in Q2 2029.

The financial impact of both projects is expected to appear in the company’s financial statements from Q2 2029. The group added that it will disclose any significant developments in due course.

As of now, no contractors have been appointed. The group plans to engage multiple specialized contractors and suppliers after obtaining the required regulatory approvals.
