The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) announced the launch of a digital interactive map that allows users to view detailed information about infrastructure projects across Riyadh city and its governorates. The initiative aims to boost transparency, improve project execution quality, and better urban development in the capital.

The map enables users to browse detailed data for more than 285,000 permits related to infrastructure projects in the city and its governorates, covering sectors such as water, electricity, telecommunications, and roads. It displays project types, executing entities, and start and end dates within an integrated digital experience based on geospatial information systems (GIS) and intelligent data analytics, SPA reported.

The data revealed that water and electricity projects account for more than 70% of all infrastructure project permits in Riyadh, highlighting the significant efforts made to regulate permit issuance and ensure integrated execution.

Moreover, the map offers a “report an Issue” feature that enables residents to flag observations and help improve the urban landscape by submitting reports directly from their geographic location on the map. This helps accelerate response times and enhances community participation as an active partner in the city's development.

The interactive map also reflects a high level of integration among service providers and offers a unified data platform that helps minimize on-site conflicts and ensure maximum coordination during project implementation, thus supporting spending efficiency and preserving the city's urban fabric.
