Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories increased in the week ended Oct. 31, after declining during the previous two weeks.
Commercial crude inventories rose by 5.2 million barrels, compared to Wall Street Journal's expectations for a decrease by 100,000 barrels, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, gasoline inventories declined by 4.7 million barrels, with distillate stocks—including diesel and heating oil—decreasing by 600,000 barrels.
