GACA licenses Russia’s Azimuth Airlines to launch Saudi flights

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) granted an economic license to Russia’s Azimuth Airlines, allowing the carrier to launch flights between Russia and Saudi Arabia.

 

In a statement, GACA said the airline will operate three weekly flights from Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody to Jeddah, starting Dec. 4 and Dec. 15.

 

It will also operate two weekly flights from Sochi to Riyadh, beginning March 3, 2026.

 

According to Argaam data, Saudi Arabia and Russia recently signed a mutual visa exemption agreement for citizens of both countries, on the sidelines of the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum.
