Saudi Aramco Base Oil Co. (Luberef) announced the successful and safe completion of scheduled maintenance at its Yanbu facility—the largest in the company's history—and the start of operations according to the approved plan.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the maintenance work took place from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31, 2025, as scheduled. Subsequently, facility operations restarted as planned today, Jan. 1.

The company explained that all planned maintenance works were executed during the shutdown period, including catalyst replacement in several facility units.

These works are expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve asset reliability, and support the company’s strategic plans. The shutdown represents a key milestone toward achieving Luberef’s future expansion objectives.

Luberef added that the financial impact of this turnaround is expected to be reflected in the company’s results for the fourth quarter of 2025.
